Gardaí shut down Dublin salon for reopening during lockdown

Gardaí have ordered a beauty salon located in Dublin to shut down after reopening during the lockdown.

C and N Beauty Rooms in Balbriggan began taking clients this morning but shortly after opening, gardaí ordered the salon to shut down.

The owner of the salon ‘Christine McTiernan’ stated that she is unable to survive much longer without earning a living and stated, “This is for me. I have to do what I have to do to pay my bills and that is what is important to me.”

Insisting that she is doing this out of necessity to pay bills and rent, Ms McTiernan stated that she announced her plan online over the weekend and received huge support for it.

A Gardaí statement read, “Where Gardaí find potential breaches of the public health regulations, the advice of the DPP will be sought or Fixed Payment Notices will be issued where appropriate,”.
