Ex-solicitors ‘Keith Flynn’ and ‘Lyndsey Clare’ have been jailed for defrauding a number of banks and credit unions of nearly €400,000.
The married couple created over 60 false identities, used disguises and paid homeless people for PPS numbers to carry out the fraud.
They were sentenced at Cork Circuit Criminal Court where they pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud.
Keith Flynn (46) was sentenced to four years while Lyndsey Clarke (37) was sentenced to two years. A garda investigation reported that the theft, which took place over an 18-month period, totalled €394,804.
