England to ease Covid-19 restrictions by next month

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to present his plan this afternoon for England’s easing of lockdown restrictions.

The first step of the plan will be the return of all school pupils in the second week of March along with meeting one other person outdoors.

Organised outdoor sports and meetings for groups of six people are planned to return by the end of March.

According to the Prime Minister, the decision on each step will be based on scientific data on vaccine effectiveness, hospitalisation and infection rates.

A cautious approach will be taken by the government in the easing of restrictions in an attempt to not undo the progress made so far.
