COVID-19: 679 new confirmed cases in Ireland

Health officials have confirmed a further 679 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

One further person diagnosed with the virus has also died.

71% of cases reported are under 45-years-old.

The county breakdown is as follows: 230 are in Dublin, 59 in Limerick, 48 in Galway, 47 in Kildare, 29 in Tipperary and the remaining 266 cases are spread across 19 other counties.
