COVID-19: 788 new confirmed cases in Ireland

Health officials have confirmed a further 788 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Seventeen further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.

71% of cases reported are under 45-years-old.

The county breakdown is as follows: 315 in Dublin, 61 in Galway, 59 in Meath, 42 in Louth, 33 in Kildare and the remaining 278 cases are spread across all other counties.
