Bodies of man and woman discovered at Cavan house

An investigation is underway following the discovery of two bodies at a house in Cavan yesterday evening.

Both the man and the woman, believed to be in their 40s, were found dead at a house in Cloverhill, Belturbet with gardaí investigating the circumstances of the deaths.

According to one garda source, there was no indication of murder or that the pair suffered a violent death.

Gardaí believe that the likely cause of death may have been a gas leak or something similar. The cause of death is to be determined by the results of the post-mortem examination.
