Significant amount of Irish people traveling abroad on holidays must stop, warns Taoiseach

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said people from Ireland need to stop travelling abroad on holidays.

“Quite a significant number of people travelling from Ireland are travelling on holidays. That needs to stop,” he said.

Martin was speaking in the Dáil after criticism of the Government’s plan to clamp down on International travel.

He further stated that there would be increased checks by gardaí at ports and airports.
