Localised flooding and heavy rain is to be expected for 12 counties overnight as Met Éireann issues a Status Yellow rain warning.
The warning, which will come into effect from 6pm, was issued for the entire province of Connaught as well as Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford, Louth, Westmeath and Meath.
The warning will remain in effect until 6am tomorrow morning.
A rain warning has also been issued for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.
