Gardaí shut down shebeen at industrial premises in Swords

Local gardaí along with the Armed Support Unit have shut down a shebeen operating at an industrial premises in Swords, Co Dublin.

The search took place last night after 10pm where alcohol, beer kegs, taps, cash, bar stools and other bar equipment was found.

A number of people were found at the premises and were issued Fixed Penalty Notices for breaching Covid-19 restrictions.

No arrests have been made yet but enquiries into the incident are ongoing and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
