COVID-19: 2,488 new confirmed cases in Ireland

Health officials have confirmed a further 2,488 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Sixty-one further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.

51% of cases reported are under 45-years-old.

The county breakdown is as follows: 726 in Dublin, 314 in Cork, 148 in Galway, 133 in Limerick, 130 in Meath.
