COVID-19: 2,944 new confirmed cases in Ireland

Health officials have confirmed a further 2,944 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Thirteen further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.

57% of cases reported are under 45-years-old.

The county breakdown is as follows: 1,065 cases in Dublin, 306 in Cork, 181 in Galway, 180 in Kildare, 160 in Limerick and the remaining 1,052 cases are spread across all other counties.
