Two arrests made as part of investigation into shots fired in Clare

Gardaí have arrested two men, aged in their 20s and late teens, as part of an investigation into shots being fired in the Illaunamanagh area in Co Clare.

The incident occurred at approximately 11am on Wednesday when gardaí recovered a firearm following a search of the area.

Both men are currently being detained at Shannon and Ennis Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Anyone with information in regards to the incident is asked to contact Shannon or Ennis Garda Stations.
