Over 1,500 people in hospital with Covid-19

Currently, there are 1,575 people in hospital with Covid-19 across the country according to the latest figures.

With hospital numbers continuing to increase, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar agreed that the HSE is facing its “darkest month”.

In the last 24 hours, there was a total of 104 people admitted to hospital during this period.

However, a total of 26 people have been discharged from hospital during this period.

There are currently 128 people in ICU, 19 of which were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours and four have been discharged.
