Protests take place at RTÉ over New Year’s Eve sketch

As a result of the New Year’s Eve sketch that was broadcasted by RTE One TV, protests have taken place outside the building in Donnybrook.

Protestors carried religious banners and recited Christian prayers. The sketch, which was about God, was intended to be satirical but it failed to comply with the company’s standards and broader regulations.

RTÉ has since apologised for the sketch and has removed it from RTÉ player.
