One arrest made after woman is threatened with knife in Dublin

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 40s following a car-jacking incident at East Wall in Dublin, where a woman was threatened by a man with a knife at a forecourt garage.

The man demanded that the woman, aged in her 40s, hand over her keys before he drove off in her car.

The car was intercepted on the N3 by gardaí, Armed Support Unit and Roads Policing Unit. The man was arrested and detained at Store Street Garda Station.

He was expected to appear at Dublin District Court this morning after being charged in connection to the incident. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
