Investigation underway following the discovery of man’s body in Cork

Gardaí have launched an investigation into the death of a man in Cork.

The man, aged in his 40s, was found dead by family members at a house at Curraheen Drive, Bishopston. The cause of death is not clear at the moment and gardaí have begun a forensic analysis of the scene.

A post-mortem examination is to take place at Cork University Hospital later today, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.
