As new restrictions come into effect today, some businesses will be closing down again from 3pm.
These businesses include restaurants and gastropubs, which will be offering takeaway and deliveries only.
Other businesses such as cinemas, museums, galleries, hairdressers and nail bars will be effected as well.
These closures come as health authorities raise their concerns on the rapid increase of cases across all ages. Although the new variant of Covid-19 has been discovered in Ireland, NPHET has put the increase in cases down to the reopening of hospitality.
NPHET has also called on the government to shut down non-essential retail from St Stephenās Day as they believe that the new restrictions will not be enough.
