At least nine dead following car bomb attack in Kabul

At least nine people have been killed following a car bomb attack in the Afghan capital of Kabul.

Approximately 20 people were injured following the attack, including a member of parliament Khan Mohammad Wardak, who is reported to be in good condition.

The attack occurred in Kabul’s Khoshal Khan neighbourhood where the politicians convey was passing through.

Interior minister Masoud Andarabi stated that the casualty toll may rise further. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack; however, Islamic State has claimed responsibility for multiple attacks that have taken place in Kabul in recent months.
