Gardaí warn about ‘ghosting’ challenge after Limerick girl hospitalised

Gardaí have issued a warning concerning a social media trend called ‘ghosting’ after a girl from Limerick was hospitalised.

The challenge involves a person lying down on the street with a sheet over them in an attempt to stop traffic and record the driver’s reaction.

Gardaí have described the challenge as “extremely irresponsible” after a girl sustained injuries to her back, torso and ankle while partaking in the challenge.

The girl’s injuries were minor but she spent a number of days in hospital as a result of her injuries.
