Allergy warning issued by UK regulator over Covid-19 vaccine

People who have a history of significant allergic reactions have been warned to not take the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.

This warning follows after two NHS workers who received the vaccine suffered an allergic reaction, according to the NHS. The two healthcare workers developed symptoms of anaphylactoid reaction after receiving the vaccination but have recovered since.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency stated that anyone with significant allergies to food, medicine or vaccines, should not take the Covid-19 jab.

Anyone scheduled to receive their vaccination will be asked about their history with allergies.
