Cold and frosty weather expected for the rest of the week

Met Éireann has stated that cold and frosty weather is expected to stay for the remainder of the week across the entire country.

A Status Yellow snow and ice warning was issued for Co Donegal which will remain in effect until midnight. Counties Antrim, Tyrone, Mayo and Derry were issued a similar warning this morning.

Very cold and frosty weather is to be expected tonight as temperatures will drop between zero and minus three degrees.

Widespread frost is to be expected on Friday morning with isolated hail and thunderstorms for the north and northwest of the country. A few coastal showers are to be expected as well.
