Man dies after building collapses in Tralee

A man is his 60s has died and another five men were injured after a building that they were working on partially collapsed on Ashe Street in Tralee, Co Kerry.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 8am this morning, is understood to have occurred when a chimney section in the centre of the building collapsed.

The man who died was trapped under the rubble and his body remains at the scene.

The injuries sustained by the five other men are understood to not be serious. Investigations are ongoing.
