Fifth arrest made over alleged corruption at Kildare and Wicklow Education Training Board

Gardaí have arrested a fifth person, a man in his 40s, as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged corruption that has taken place at the Kildare and Wicklow Education Training Board.

As part of Operation Lakefront, the investigation is being carried out by the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau and detectives attached to the Anti-Corruption Unit.

The man is currently being detained at Tullamore Garda Station for offences contrary to the Prevention of Corruption Acts.
