The co-founder of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge ‘Patrick Quinn’ has died at the age of 37.
Mr Quinn, from New York state, was diagnosed with the motor neuron disease ALS back in 2013.
Mr Quinn’s team wrote “It is with great sadness that we must share the passing of Patrick early this morning” while adding, “We will always remember him for his inspiration and courage in his tireless fight against ALS.”
The Ice Bucket Challenge, which became a global phenomenon, reportedly raised $220 million for ALS research.
