Dublin Zoo risks permanent closure due to Covid-19 impact

Dublin Zoo has warned of permanent closure due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The facility has lost €8.2 million in potential revenue as a result of the pandemic.

Running at approximately €500,000 a month to feed and upkeep animals, the facility has been closed off to the public and has launched a fundraising campaign called ‘Save Dublin Zoo’ as a result.
