Investigation underway following armed raid at shop in Meath

Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery that occurred yesterday evening at a Centra store in Nobber, Co Meath.

Two men, armed with a baseball bat and a handgun, raided the Main Street-based store and escaped in a black Volkswagen Volvo with two registers of cash.

The firearm, which was dropped on the floor during the raid, was recovered by gardaí and is now under examination.

The raiders drove off in the direction of Navan following the robbery.
