A Greek Orthodox priest, aged in his 40s, has been hospitalised with life-threatening injuries after being shot outside a church in Lyon, France.
The lone attacker, armed with a hunting rifle, is still at large and is currently being hunted by police.
Only two days ago, three people were killed following a knife attack at a Catholic church in Nice that was carried out by an Islamic terrorist.
In a separate attack, a Paris schoolteacher was beheaded by an 18-year-old Chechen after the teacher showed his students cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
French anti-terrorist authorities stated that they are not investigating the incident but the French Interior Minister has deployed a special emergency team as the gunman has not been caught yet.
