There has been a slight reduction in the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Irish hospitals

The latest figures show that the number of patients in hospital with Covid-19 has reduced to 318.

However, the number of patients in intensive care has risen to 43 from 40 yesterday, and the highest number in ICU with Covid-19 since 28th May.

Although it remains well below the peak in mid-April, when 155 people with the virus were being treated in ICUs.

The hospitals with the most patients are: Cavan General Hospital and Tallaght University Hospital each with 25 and Beaumont Hospital with 24.
