NASA has confirmed the presence of water on the moon

Following an announcement made on Monday, NASA has confirmed the presence of water on the moon for the first time.

The discovery was made by SOFIA (Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy) who identified the water molecules on a sunlit surface of the moon.

The water molecules were bound in a material that SOFIA state may be glass.

NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine stated that it is too early to tell whether there is enough for it to be used as a resource.
