Cyclist in his 60s dies following collision in Cork

GardaĆ­ are investigating a collision in Cork where a cyclist, a man in his 60s, was killed.

GardaĆ­ were alerted to the collision at approximately 7pm on Saturday evening where the cyclist collided with a car on the Lower Corkhill Road, Youghal.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Cork University Hospital to undergo a post mortem examination.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or is in possession of dash-cam footage of the Lower Corkhill Road at the time of the incident is asked to contact Youghal Garda Station at 024 922 00, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
