A teenage boy was airlifted to Cork University Hospital for serious injuries that he sustained following a collision between a school bus and a car.
The teenage boy was an occupant of the car, which subsequently collided with a ditch after the collision on the Schull-Ballydehob Road in west Cork.
It is understood that no students were travelling on the school bus at the time of the incident.
Although the teenager was seriously injured, his condition is currently being described as non-life-threatening.
The driver of the bus was uninjured but was badly shaken by the incident.
