Status Yellow rainfall warning issued for the entire country

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning for the entire country as persistent bands of rain are to cross the country.

The warning comes into effect at midnight tonight and will remain valid until 7pm on Tuesday.

The forecaster also warned of coastal flooding risks due to unusually high tides and strong winds.

There has also been a Status Yellow rain warning issued by the UK Met Office for counties Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry which comes into effect at 5am tomorrow until 3am on Tuesday.
