French President Emmanuel Macron condemns Islamic terrorist killing of French teacher

French President Emmanuel Macron has condemned the Islamic terrorist killing of a French teacher who was beheaded outside his school on the outskirts of Paris yesterday.

The teacher, who had shown cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed to students, was killed in what Macron described as an “Islamist terrorist attack”.

The attacker, an 18-year old Chechen, died from his injuries after being shot by police.

Four arrests have been made, all of which are related to the suspect, including a minor.

A police source stated that the attacker shouted “Allahu Akbar” when they confronted him, which is a cry often used by jihadists during such attacks.

French anti-terror prosecutors have stated that they are treating the incident as “a murder linked to a terrorist organisation.”
