Ireland has ‘very, very small window’ to avoid harsh lockdown – Harris

Minister for Further and Higher Education Simon Harris has said the country is at a watershed moment and warned there is a “very, very small window where we can stop us having to go back to severe restrictions”.

However, he said, is “it is not inevitable” that more severe Covid-19 restrictions will be imposed.

Harris said that he believes the prohibition of household visits will be “a gamechanger” in curbing the spread of Covid-19.

Last night the government issued a nationwide ban on household visits in a bid to curb the trajectory of the virus.
