Border counties may be subject to further Covid-19 restrictions – Tánaiste

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar has said border counties may be subject to further restrictions following the decision that Northern Ireland will face four weeks of tougher restrictions.

Varadkar said the incidence of the virus in Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan are the highest in Ireland so these counties may be subject to further restrictions.

He said the Government will listen to what NPHET says tomorrow before making any further decisions.

The Irish people are being urged to follow public health advice to prevent the country going into lockdown once again.
