According to the Minister for Health ‘Stephen Donnelly’, schools will not shut for longer during mid-term break.
This decision has been made as Donnelly states that schools are not contributing to rising numbers in Covid-19.
The minister stated, “We need to keep children in school and keeping the schools open is a big priority for Government.”
Minister of State at the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science ‘Niall Collins’ stated that there is “absolutely no plan to close our schools beyond the traditional one-week break around Halloween.”
