COVID-19: 617 new confirmed cases, 72 cases identified as community transmission

Health officials have confirmed a further 617 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Five further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.

73% of cases are under 45-years-old.

72 cases have been identified as community transmission.

The county breakdown is as follows: 123 in Dublin, 107 in Cork, 42 in Meath, 36 in Kerry, 35 in Galway and the remaining 274 cases are located across 21 counties.
