COVID-19: 611 new confirmed cases, 83 cases identified as community transmission

Health officials have confirmed a further 611 new cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Five further people diagnosed with the virus have also died.

59% of cases are under 45-years-old.

83 cases have been identified as community transmission.

The county breakdown is as follows: 218 in Dublin, 63 in Cork, 60 in Donegal, 35 in Galway, 31 in Kildare and the remaining 204 are located across 21 counties.
