Eight hospitalised following collision between Dublin Bus vehicle and car last night

Investigations are ongoing by gardaí following a collision between a Dublin Bus vehicle and a car in Ballsbridge last night.

The incident occurred at the junction of Northumberland Road and Haddington Road at approximately 10:40pm last night when the bus swerved and hit a building while the car ended up on its side.

It is understood that the car was being chased by gardaí before the incident took place.

Eight people were taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital, two of which were the occupants of the car.

Two of the passengers on the bus were hospitalised with serious injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dash-cam footage of the incident, to contact them.
