President Trump set to unveil Ginsburg replacement to Supreme Court

With less than five weeks to go until the presidential election, US President Donald Trump is set to announce his Supreme Court nominee today following the recent passing of former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court ‘Ruth Bader Ginsburg’.

It has been reported by the US media that the 48-year-old law professor and conservative judge ‘Amy Coney Barret’ has been chosen for the job, but it has yet to be confirmed by President Trump.

If this is confirmed, there will be a conservative majority in the country’s top court.

The announcement is expected to be made by 9pm Irish time.
