Investigation underway after man dies following suspected hit-and-run in Meath

Gardaí are investigating what they have described as a suspected hit-and-run incident in Co Meath after the body of a man was found on a section of road in the region overnight.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, was found dead on a section of the N51 in the Navan area.

Stating that the incident occurred approximately between the hours 2am and 3am this morning, gardaí have now begun an investigation as they suspect the cause of death to be a hit-and-run incident.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information or dash cam footage to contact them.
