Pedestrian suffers serious injuries after being struck by falling traffic light in Dublin

A woman has suffered serious injuries to her legs after being struck by a falling traffic light in Dublin this morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:20am this morning on the South Circular Road when a truck collided with a traffic light which subsequently fell and struck the woman.

Following the incident, the woman was taken to St James Hospital.

According to a garda spokesman, investigations into the incident are ongoing.
