New Covid-19 restrictions take effect today in Dublin

Following a recent surge in confirmed Covid-19 cases in Dublin, new restrictions are to come into effect today for the next three weeks in the region.

Socialising numbers have been reduced, and travel in and out of the county is being discouraged.

A limit of only six people from one other household are being recommended to socialise in the region to encourage social distancing.

Restaurants and pubs that serve food will only be offering outdoor dining and takeaway services.

High visibility policing in the region will recommence to encourage public compliance.
