One-year-old hospitalised following incident between scrambler and quad bike

A one-year-old is currently being hospitalised at Crumlin Children’s Hospital with serious injuries following an incident that occurred in Ballyfermot, Dublin last night.

The incident took place at approximately 7pm at Cherry Orchard Park where it is understood that a woman, aged in her 20s, was sitting on a stationery quad bike whilst holding the young boy when a scrambler struck the quad.

Although his injuries are serious, they are understood to be non-life threatening.

A man in his late teens, who is believed to be the driver of the scrambler, was taken to St James Hospital with non-life threating injuries but has since been discharged.
