COVID-19: One death and 255 new cases confirmed

The Department of Health has reported a further 255 confirmed Covid-19 cases which has brought the total number of cases in the country to 30,985.

As well as the new cases, one further death has been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,784.

Of the 255 confirmed cases, 129 were men and 123 were women.

The majority of the cases were under the age of 45.

The cases were broken down as such: 156 in Dublin, 22 in Waterford, 13 in Donegal, 11 in Wicklow, nine in Limerick, five in Clare, and eight in Kildare.

The remaining 31 cases were reported in Cork, Galway, Laois, Carlow, Kerry, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Offaly, Tipperary, Westmeath and Wexford.
