Child seriously injured following hit-and-run incident in Dublin

A young boy is being hospitalised at Children’s Health Ireland in Crumlin following a hit-and-run incident that took place in Tallaght, Dublin.

The boy received serious but non-life threatening injuries following the incident which occurred on Fortunestown Lane last night at approximately 8:30pm.

The driver of the car failed to remain at the scene which has prompted an investigation by gardaí as they are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of Fortunestown Lane between 8pm and 9pm to contact them.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01 666 6000 or the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
