Suspected breach of Covid-19 health regulations in pubs rises to 198

GardaĆ­ have confirmed that there has been 13 further suspected breaches of Covid-19 public health regulations in pubs.

These 13 additional cases were reported between the 31st of August and the 6th of September.

Since Operation Navigation began on July 3rd, the cumulative total of non-compliance incidents in pubs now stands at 198.

According to gardaĆ­, there has also been “widespread compliance” with public health regulations by licensed premises as thousands of inspections have taken place throughout the country under Operation Navigation.

Files are now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in each of these cases where breaches were reported.
