Motorcyclist dies following road crash in Offaly

A man in his 20s has died from the injuries he sustained when his motorcycle left the road on the R401 in Offaly at 10am.

Emergency services responded to the incident, near Edenderry, but the man was pronounced dead a short time later.

A post-mortem examination is to take place at Tullamore Hospital.

GardaĆ­ are continuing with an investigation and are appealing to anyone with information or dash cam footage to contact them.
