Ireland goes 8 days in a row with no Covid-19 related deaths, while ICU confirmed cases now at 6

The Republic of Ireland has gone 8 days in a row with no people diagnosed with Covid-19 dying.

This is despite the continuous increase in cases in Ireland, with the seven day average of cases now standing at 115.

The number of confirmed cases in ICU is now 6, which is an increase of one in the previous 24 hours, although the overall number remains low.

The number of confirmed cases in Irish hospitals now stands at 35.
