Investigation underway by gardaí following unexplained death of man in Cork city

Gardaí are investigating the unexplained death of a 28-year-old man in Cork city at approximately 1.10am.

It is understood that gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a man who was found unconscious outside a house at Eagle Valley in Wilton.

The residence of the house are understood to be life-long friends with the man.

The man was later pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital.

The course of the investigation will be determined by a postmortem examination which will take place at the hospital.

Gardaí have stated that investigations into the man’s death are ongoing.
